Privacy Policy

Pre-launch draft · Updated October 15, 2026. These policies are being finalized before the app’s public release.

This Privacy Policy explains what FinancierOne collects, how the app uses and shares information, and the choices available to you. It applies to the FinancierOne app, its cloud features, and support communications. FinancierOne is a manual financial-planning tool; it does not connect to your bank or request your bank password.

Information you provide

We collect the information you enter to create and use an account, including your email address, profile name, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, and settings. You choose the financial information you add. It may include account names and balances, income, bills, debts, budgets, transactions, goals, shopping lists, notes, receipts, and the dates and amounts connected to them.

If you attach a photo or scan a receipt, the app may retain the image and extracted receipt text with the related record. Receipt text recognition is performed on the device when that feature is available. You should avoid adding information that is not needed for your plan.

Household and communication information

If you use household sharing, we process invitations, membership, contribution choices, shared-item settings, household activity, and messages you send in household chat. The people you invite may see information you mark as shared. An item marked private is intended to remain in your personal view; changing an item from shared to private removes it from the other member’s shared view, including its shared history. Review the sharing screen before accepting or changing a plan.

A household member may retain information they separately saved, exported, or saw before access was removed. We cannot erase copies held outside FinancierOne.

Information collected when the app runs

The app uses basic device and service information needed to sign in, sync changes, deliver notifications, secure sessions, and troubleshoot failures. This can include a device push-notification token, platform and app version, timestamps, sync status, and technical error details. When a signed-in app crashes, a limited, redacted diagnostic record can be stored on the device and sent to our cloud service. Automated redaction helps reduce sensitive details, but you should still avoid putting private information into error reports you choose to share.

If you buy a subscription when store billing becomes available, Apple or Google handles the purchase and gives the app information needed to determine your access. We do not receive your full payment-card number from those stores.

How we use information

We use your information to provide budgeting and planning features, show balances and projections, save and synchronize your work, operate household sharing, deliver requested reminders, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and diagnose or repair the app. We also use limited account and activity records to maintain security and comply with applicable law. We do not use the financial information you enter to make lending decisions or place trades.

Local storage, cloud storage, and backups

FinancierOne keeps a working copy of financial data on your device and, when you are signed in and connected, saves account data to cloud services so it can appear on your other devices. Changes made offline may remain on the device until syncing succeeds. Photos and other attachments can be stored separately from the main financial record. A backup file you export contains sensitive financial data; attached photos are not included in that file. You are responsible for protecting any exported file or screenshot after it leaves the app.

Your device or platform may also make operating-system backups under settings you control. Deleting data in FinancierOne does not automatically erase a copy you exported or a backup controlled by another service.

When information is shared

We disclose information to the household members you choose to share with, according to the sharing settings in the app. We use service providers to host account data, authenticate users, store attachments, send notifications, and operate the app. These providers receive information needed for their service. Apple and Google may process information under their own policies when you use their app stores, device permissions, or purchase systems.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal process, or to protect users and the service. If ownership of the app changes, information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and notice. We do not sell your financial entries to data brokers. The current pre-release app includes sample promotional placements for testing. It does not include a third-party advertising SDK.

Services that process information

FinancierOne uses Supabase for account authentication, cloud database storage, uploaded files, and server functions. Information needed to provide these features is processed by that service. Household push notifications use the Expo push service and the delivery services provided by Apple or Google. These services process notification tokens and notification content to deliver messages to your devices.

Notifications may contain household activity details and can appear on a locked device. Use your device notification settings to control previews. Turning off notifications does not delete your account or its stored data.

Permissions and notifications

Camera and photo-library access are used only when you choose to scan a receipt or attach an image. Biometric unlocking uses your device’s operating-system feature; FinancierOne does not receive your fingerprint or face template. Notifications are used for the reminders and household events you enable. You can change app notification preferences and device permissions in the app or device settings. Disabling a permission may disable the related feature.

Security

We use account authentication, access controls, encrypted network connections, and device security facilities to protect information. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a strong, unique password, protect your device and exported backups, and do not share password-reset links or household invitation codes with people you do not trust. Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

How long information is kept

We keep account and financial records while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can edit or remove many records within the app. If you erase your account, FinancierOne requests deletion of the active cloud account and its associated app data and clears app data on that device. Limited records may remain where required by law, for security or dispute resolution, or in routine service-provider backups until those backups expire. Data you previously shared outside the app is outside our control.

Your choices and rights

You can review and correct entries in the app, change sharing choices, leave a household, turn off optional notifications, export a backup or transaction file, reset your budget, and request account deletion through More → Data Management → Erase app and account. Some privacy laws may give you additional rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Contact us to exercise those rights or ask about information that cannot be changed in the app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Account deletion and shared records

Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your cloud account. To request deletion, use More → Data Management → Erase app and account and complete the confirmation. An internet connection is required. If the request fails, the app has not confirmed deletion; retry when connected.

Deleting an account removes its membership in household sharing. If you own a household, deletion also removes that household workspace. Other members may lose access to shared records, and copies already saved or exported by another person may remain outside your account. Export records you need before deleting. Resetting a budget is a separate action and does not delete your sign-in account.

Children

FinancierOne is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that an account was created by a child under 13 without authorization required by law, we will take steps to delete the information.

International use

FinancierOne may be used in more than one country. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Local privacy rights and required safeguards may differ by region. Contact us if you have a question about rights available where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date shown with the policy and give additional notice when a material change requires it. The version available in the app will describe current practices.
